We did better this month!  Keep it up!
Please encourage your child to keep up with their independent reading.  This is very important to their development of language, both written and spoken. They are required to read 10 points of AR every month.  August and September are combined for one monthly requirement.

These are the common prepositions the kids need to learn.  We will memorize 5 a night until we're done.

Current Read Aloud:  A Season of Gifts

FYI - I don't mind if the students read outside their ZPD as long as most of their books are NOT below their ZPD.  It is all right if they read a book below their level every now and then.  I like picture books too!

Accelerated Reader This link will take you to the accelerated reader website.  You can check on titles or check to see how many points your child has.  ALL TESTS still must be taken at school.  Your child's username is the first letter of their first name and the first four letters of their last name. For example, Trevor Popkin would be tpopk.  Your child's password is their initials.  The first time a parents logs on AS A PARENT you will need to follow the prompts to register.  Students are all set to go.
