MJHS will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 25th – 29th with the theme, “Rally 2 Extinguish Drugs.” Several events are being planned for the week including Dads Volunteer Day and the Fall Dance. Some days of the week, students are encouraged to participate in our Theme Dress Days:
Wednesday – Wear Red Day
Thursday – Team Up Against Drugs Day (wear your favorite team garment)
Friday – Say “Boo” to Drugs Day (wear your Halloween costume)
Friday, October 29th from 7:30 am until 3:30 pm and also from 7:00pm – 8:30pm (during the Fall Dance)
Dads: Can you go to work late, leave during lunch hour, leave work early or take the whole day off to volunteer at MJHS? If you can find a way to be at our school on Oct. 29th, even if it is only for one hour, we will have a job for you to do.

The Red Ribbon Week celebration will conclude with an all-school dance from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. on Friday, October 29th in the MJHS Cafeteria. Admission price is $3 or $2 if a canned good is donated. High School Student Council is sponsoring activities for this dance as a fundraiser.
Parent Conferences
The annual parent/teacher conferences are slated for Thursday,
November 4th from 1:00 – 6:45 p.m. and on Friday,
November 5 from 8:00 – 11:45 a.m.. Parents should call the school
to set up a 15-minute appointment with each student's team. Stop by
the office to get your personal schedule when you arrive at the
school, if needed. We hope to see you at conferences! Call early,
appointments fill up quickly.
Concessions will be open each Friday after school - only snacks will be sold.
On
the first day of school, students received the 2010-2011 Handbook.
Parents and students are highly encouraged to read through the first
portion of the book, as these pages contain MJHS rules and guidelines
and other helpful information. Students, teachers and PARENTS are
required to sign the form stating the handbook was received and
reviewed. Handbooks may also be viewed online at www.morrisonschools.org/jhhandbook.
