COURSES THAT COUNT TOWARD GRADUATION

A. All regular academic and schedule credits.

B. A maximum of two credits obtained off campus when approved by the counselor and principal in advance, in writing, from:

1. Independent study courses from an accredited institution.

2. Courses from Sauk Valley Comm. College, Clinton C.C., Sterling Adult Education Program, Sterling Summer School, or other North Central Approved programs.

3. Approved correspondence programs meeting North Central standards.

4. Credits for transfer students. Transfer credit will be awarded on the basis North Central standards.

If more than one credit is requested from any of the above, a written request for such approval must be submitted to the principal clearly stating the reason for the request. Each request will be considered by the principal and guidance counselor on an individual basis with the welfare of the student and the school district contributing to the final decision. Courses will not be approved if similar regularly scheduled classes are offered at Morrison High School. All correspondence courses will include a $5 processing fee payable to Morrison High School prior to the course being accepted for credit.

SUMMER SCHOOL - Course offerings at Sterling and Rock Falls High School are limited and subject to change.  Students often find that the required course they failed to earn credit for is not available through the summer programs.  The fees for these courses are the student's responsibility.
