OF MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
MORRISON
COMMUNITY UNIT DISTRICT #6 AND RIVER BEND COMMUNITY UNIT DISTRICT #2
September
18, 2007
The
special meeting of the Board of Education of Morrison Community Unit District
#6 and River Bend Community Unit District #2,
Approximately
50 residents from Morrison and the River Bend districts were in
attendance. Four media representatives
were also present.
President
Sally Gray called the meeting to order at 6:35 P.M.
On
roll call, the following Morrison Board of Education members were present: Houldson, Prombo, Ridley, Schlueter, Swanstrom, Tilton and Gray.
Also present were Superintendent Dr. Jody Ware and Recording Secretary
Wendy Krajnovich. Upon roll call by the
secretary pro-tem the following River Bend Board of Education members were
present: Barnett, Cole, Damhoff, Orman-Luker,
Portz, St. Ores, and Ottens. Also present were Superintendent Dr. Jane
Bauer and Recording Secretary Virginia Petersen.

There
were no requests to speak from the public.
PRESENTATION
OF MORRISON/RIVER BEND CONSOLIDATION REPORT
Dr.
Jody Ware introduced consultants Dr. Larry Copes and Dr. Ron Yates. They presented their reorganization
feasibility study for the consolidation of Morrison C.U.S.D. #6 and River Bend
C.U.S.D. #2.
Following
their presentation Dr. Jody Ware stated the entire report would be available on
both district’s websites. Attendees were
offered the opportunity to write down and submit any consolidation
questions. Dr. Ware explained that she
and Dr. Bauer will develop answers which will be published in the area newspapers.
The
meeting was adjourned by consent by Board President Sally Gray at 7:12 P.M.
