State Goal 28: Use the target language to communicate within and beyond the classroom setting.

 (S.S.)   Understand oral communication in the target language.                                       

 (S.O.)  Follow increasingly difficult, and longer instructions.

            Demonstrate comprehension of a wider variety of stories, narratives and conversations. 

 (S.S.)   Interact in the target language in various settings.               

 (S.O.)  Ask and respond spontaneously to questions in a greater variety of contexts.

Recombine familiar elements of acquired knowledge to produce original responses to questions.                        

            Use pronunciation comprehensible to a native speaker accustomed to interacting with second language learners.

(S.O.)  Demonstrate comprehension of a wide variety of written materials, with some help from available resources.

            Identify the plot and form of a literary work in the target language.
