As you will see from my policies page, I believe that students should be encouraged to use history as an opportunity to develop writing and reading skills in support of other curriculum areas, click here to see my writing guidelines.

6th and 7th Grade History

As I start my third year here at the Junior High, I am amazed at how quickly time as moved on, but I remain excited to be here in Morrison, teaching history at the Junior High School. As many of you now know, I grew up in England, and my wife hails from right here in Morrison. In fact, I now teach history in the very same room that she once sat in to take sixth grade history. It is a great pleasure to be teaching in a community I have come to know so well over the last 15 years.

Over the summer, I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Japan for three weeks. This was a study tour funded by the Freeman Foundation and run by TEA at the University of Colorado. If you would like to see the website I have built about my visit to Japan, it can be found here.
